The University of Hamburg Merit Scholarships 2025-26 are available for international students enrolled in various degree programs at the University of Hamburg. Here's what you need to know:

*Eligibility Criteria:*

- International students from all countries (except Germany) can apply
- No age limit for application
- Applicants must be enrolled at the University of Hamburg for at least two semesters (or one semester for master's students in 2-year programs and doctoral researchers)
- Must not hold German citizenship
- Must not be eligible for the federal student loan scheme (BAföG)

*Benefits:*

- Monthly funding of up to €930
- Awarded for two semesters (12 months), with possibility of reapplication

- Residence permit (non-EU citizens) or identity card and registration certificate (EU citizens)
